The fresh fruit lately has been oranges from our tree.  They are finally sweet enough to eat.  We better hurry before the neighborhood dritters get them.

The 2009 dinner tally

Here's the list of everything that showed up more than once.  There were a few days I forgot to keep track, but this gives you a pretty good idea of what we ate for dinner over the past year.  It is a reasonable reflection of what we ate but there are a few things that aren't clear from the list.  We eat out a lot more than just the OUT entry, at least once a week, up to three times.  Some of the pizza, chicken kabobs, and BBQ pork sandwiches were eaten out, but not all.  The chicken salad w/ mandarin oranges always came from Wendy's.  The braised tofu with mushrooms came from the same place as the Chinese takeout.  The pork chops and pasta are each from probably 2 or 3 different recipes and the pasta is a variety of shapes and sizes usually with a tomato sauce, but not always.   Some of the most memorable one time dinners were the cioppino and crab on Christmas Eve and the duck, duck, goose on Christmas day, the yummy Thai curries we ate to celebrate our anniversary, and of course the corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's day.  Memorable, but not desirable, was the dinner of Gatorade.
